Greed. Idealism. Love.
We are happy to announce our 2017 summer production: Idiot's Delight, by Robert E. Sherwood. We are also thrilled to have received a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) for the production. This is an honor and we thank MRAC for helping make our show possible.
Let's take a look at Idiot's Delight:
Winner of the 1936 Pulitzer Prize for Drama
Romantic commentary about greed, idealism, love, and the grim realities of war
Eccentric assortment of characters stranded together in a European mountaintop resort at the outbreak of war
A munitions magnate and his mysterious Russian mistress
An American song and dance man with his chorine companions “Les Blondes”
Sounds like an excellent match up for Girl Friday Productions' signature large ensemble cast. And for Ivey Award winner Craig Johnson, who will direct.
Interested? Tickets are available now at Park Square Theatre. (FYI -- The show will be performed June 29-July 23 on the Andy Boss Stage.)
Casting will be announced soon. Stay tuned!!
